Stanbic Holdings Plc (Kenya) appoints Ms Janet Wanjohi Jabiru as Acting Company Secretary

Stanbic Holdings Plc wishes to inform shareholders that Ms. Lillian Mbindyo has ceased to hold the office of Company Secretary with effect from 18th February 2022. On behalf of the Board, we thank Ms. Mbindyo for her service and wish her well in her future endeavours.

Pending the appointment of a substantive Company Secretary, Ms. Janet Wanjohi Kabiru will, subject to approval from the Central Bank of Kenya, assume the role of Company Secretary in an acting capacity.

Ms. Kabiru has over 25 years’ experience in corporate law, tax and corporate governance and has held senior roles at Kaplan & Stratton Advocates, PricewaterhouseCoopers and British American Tobacco. She is currently the Head of Legal & Governance at Stanbic Bank Kenya having joined the Stanbic Group in 2019.

Ms. Kabiru holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Reading, UK, a Master’s degree in Law (BCL) from the University of Oxford, UK and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Certified Public Secretary registered with the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya and an ICS accredited Governance Auditor.
